Daikin Industries (Thailand) participated in the certification ceremony for the registration of its testing laboratory under the ASEAN Electrical and Electronic Mutual Recognition Agreement (ASEAN EE MRA: AHEEERR). This laboratory is equipped with EMC testing capabilities that ensure high-quality and precise testing of air conditioning products, reinforcing the concept of 'Perfecting the Air' to create sustainable quality air for you.

Mr. Tsutomu Kurihara, President of Daikin Industries (Thailand) Co., Ltd., stated that Daikin Industries Thailand is committed to becoming the largest air conditioning manufacturing base in the ASEAN-Oceania region, focusing on producing air conditioners that excel in both quality and efficiency, in line with the organization's core concept of 'Perfecting the Air: Creating Quality Air for You.' This is particularly emphasized in the research and development process, where Daikin places significant importance on analysis and testing. Every product must undergo electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing, controlled through a laboratory with precise quality control and technical management systems, to achieve the best results in all aspects, including energy efficiency, safety, and operational performance of air conditioners.

The EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) testing laboratory of Daikin Industries (Thailand) was established in August 2017 at the company's Research and Development Center. It comprises various modern and comprehensive testing rooms, such as the semi-anechoic chamber (SAC chamber), portable shielding tent, and open area test site (OATS).

In 2023, this EMC testing laboratory became the first air conditioning manufacturer’s testing facility in Thailand to receive accreditation for its capabilities and quality management system according to ISO/IEC 17025 standards from the Industrial Standards Institute (ISI) and from the IEC/IECEE in Sweden. The testing scope covers all countries in Europe, as well as Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. The portable shielding tent and open area test site are the first and only testing facilities in Thailand to receive this standard that year.

Furthermore, in 2024, the EMC testing laboratory will be upgraded by being accredited as a testing laboratory for Vietnam under the ASEAN Electrical and Electronic Mutual Recognition Agreement (ASEAN EE MRA: AHEEERR), making it the first in Thailand and the ASEAN region among air conditioning manufacturers participating in the program. This will expand the testing scope to cover all European countries as well as ASEAN countries. The certificate was presented by Mr. Narun Suksaman, Deputy Secretary-General of the Industrial Standards Office on April 8, 2025.

“Daikin is highly committed to enhancing testing, research, and development capabilities to deliver the best air conditioning products that meet diverse air quality needs, in line with the concept of 'Perfecting the Air: Creating Quality Air for You.' We aim to ensure maximum confidence and satisfaction for consumers, making Daikin a vital foundation for a good and sustainable quality of life,” Mr. Tsutomu emphasized in conclusion.
